GALAPRO

Thanks to the generosity of Lola C. Reinsch, of the Reinsch Pierce Family Foundation, Mrs. Ginger Laytham, and The Robert and Christina Silberman Family Trust, The National Theatre is now equipped with GalaPro closed captioning services. The GalaPro app is available to download on your own iOS or Android device. You may also request a device for this service at the theatre.

GalaPro may be used for listed performances from any seat in the theatre, special reservations are not required. To inquire more about GalaPro services, please contact info@broadwayatthenational.com.

ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES

The National Theatre is equipped with FM frequency assistive listening devices. Assistive listening devices are available at the theatre, and are offered free of charge, on a first-come first-served basis. You may use your own headphones, or they may be provided for you. A limited number of T-coil compatible neck loops are also available by request. A driver’s license or valid ID is required as security. This service is available at all performances.

AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

The performances below will be narrated by volunteers from The Metropolitan Washington Ear. Patrons can listen via lightweight earphone sets. You will hear detailed descriptions of sets, lighting, costumes, body language, and actions on stage. Listening devices are available at the theatre, and are offered free of charge, on a first-come first-served basis. You may use your own headphones, or they may be provided for you. A driver’s license or valid ID is required as security.

LARGE PRINT PROGRAMS

The National Theatre provides large print programs for most performances. Large print programs are available inside the auditorium when picking up your Playbill before seating, and are offered free of charge, on a first-come first-served basis.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Wheelchair and scooter users can be accommodated in all sections of the theatre.  Patrons who cannot or choose not to transfer from their wheelchairs should request wheelchair accessible locations when ordering tickets. 

A limited number of bariatric chairs are available by request when ordering tickets.

For accessible seating, please email boxoffice@broadwayatthenational.com. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on the third and fourth floors of the theater. An elevator is available off the main lobby.

ELEVATOR

The National Theatre has one public elevator, located to the right of the main entrance. This elevator provides access to all levels.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Trained service animals are permitted to assist guests inside The National Theatre. If special accommodations are required for your service animal, please notify us at the time of ticket purchase or via email at boxoffice@broadwayatthenational.com. Guests bringing in service animals may not take up additional seats unless a ticket has been purchased for the adjacent seat, but may request accessible seating. All other animals are prohibited.
